Darren Himsworth- Darren is in his 3rd year coaching with MVP. He is in charge of offseason player training, development, and is the head coach of the 15U team. Darren is currently an Assistant Coach at Wittenberg University. He played HS baseball at Vandalia-Butler where he holds the single season fielding record of 1.000% in 124 chances as an infielder. He graduated from VB in 2009 and was selected as an All-GWOC player. Darren played 1 year at Bluffton University and 4 years at Notre Dame College (OH). He received his Business Administration and Sport Management degrees from NDC and is currently the general manager at Best of Ohio Sports.
Bronson Marlett- Bronson is in his 3rd year coaching with MVP. He is the offseason hitting coordinator for the program and head coach of the 17U team. Bronson spent last year as the hitting coach at Clark State CC. He was a graduate of Fairborn HS in 2011 and was selected as 1st team GWOC and Miami Valley All-Area 1st team. He played one year at Mars Hill College, NC. One year at Clark State, where he was 1st Team All OCAC player. Bronson ended his playing career at Urbana University as a blue knight for 2 years. He received the "Blue Knight" and "Scholar" award.
Eddie Meyers- Eddie is in his 3rd year coaching with MVP. He is the offseason pitching coordinator and the assistant coach for the 17U team. Eddie pitched for Sinclair 2002-2003 and was in the top 25 in saves for their JUCO division. Eddie has coached the ACME, Jr. ACME and summer select leagues in Tipp City for 6 years. He was also the pitching/assistant coach for the Fairborn varsity team from 2009 to 2013. Presently, Eddie is the Head Varsity Coach at Franklin-Monroe HS.
Ben Mangan- is entering his second season with the Prospects, and his 4th season coaching high school baseball. Coach Mangan will serve as the 16U Head Coach this season. Prior to the Prospects, Coach Mangan is the Head of Player Development in Lewisburg, Ohio for the past two seasons, leading the Panthers reserve team. Before Coach Mangan's move to the Prospects, he served two years as Athletic Director at Anna Tobeluk Memorial School, Nunapitchuk Alaska. During his tenure at ATMS, Coach Mangan started high school sports again at ATMS. He also coached in some capacity every sport except for Native Youth Olympics at either the Varsity, JV, or Junior High level. Coach Mangan has some years of experience coaching summer baseball at the highest levels in Dayton from 14u through 16u as well as scouting for various high schools. In his coaching career, Coach Mangan has coached several players who went on to earn numerous post-season awards including All-Conference, and Player-of-the-Year recognitions. Some of his former players have gone on to play college baseball. Coach Mangan earned his Bachelor of Science from Miami University of Oxford in 2010, where he played baseball at Miami Middletown.
Cameron Dickens- Cam is in his second year coaching with MVP, working as an assistant coach with the 16u team. In addition, he is also an assistant coach at Tri-County North High School. Cam played HS baseball locally at Chaminade-Julienne High School and graduated in 2012. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Kentucky in 2016. While in Lexington, Cam led the offseason strength and conditioning program for the baseball team at Henry Clay High School in the fall of 2015, in addition to working with other athletes who went on to earn college scholarships in baseball and other sports. He is currently completing a Master’s Degree in Exercise Science at the University of Dayton.
Andrew Goodpaster- Andrew is in his 2nd year as an assistant coach for the 15u Prospects. He played varsity baseball at Carlisle HS for 4 years leading them to 2 conference titles. He earned all conference in 3 of those years. He was also an all-district player for 3 years. On the mound he earned a 19-3 record with 158 K's in 154 IP & a 1.23 career ERA. After spending his freshman year at Wittenberg playing basketball, he joined the baseball team his sophomore year where he became a mainstay in the Tigers' bullpen. In those 3 years he made 32 appearances, throwing 47.1 innings with a 4-2 record and 1 save to his credit.
Garrett Lee- Garrett is entering his first season coaching as an assistant coach for the 15u Prospects. He is a 2016 Northmont graduate who he helped lead to a district title. He spent his summers playing for MVP and ended up receiving a scholarship to pitch at Edison State CC where he is used in a utility role out of the bullpen. The sidearm southpaw entered his sophomore season looking to improve on his 2.20 ERA in the OCCAC from his freshman year.
